Specialist Groups
Within the Association there are a number of business sector groups. Membership of these groups provides a useful forum for the exchange of information and ideas between those involved in the particular sectors. Some groups charge a small annual subscription, others are free.

- National Agricultural, Foods and Tipping Group
- Membership of this group is open to hauliers within the agricultural and aggregates industries and those operating tippers in other sectors.
- Livestock Carriers
- Membership of the group is open to hauliers specialising in the carriage of livestock. Specialist RHA Conditions of Carriage which have become the industry standard are available for use.
- Milk Carriers
- Membership of this group is open to hauliers specialising in the carriage of liquid milk or milk products.
- Heavy Haulage
- Membership is open to hauliers who operate vehicles under STGO regulations or have vehicles which comply with C&U Regulations engaged in operations under the terms of STGO.
- Car Transporters Group
- For those who regularly transport motor vehicles on or in specialist multi-vehicle transporters. Specialist RHA Conditions of Carriage are available to members of this Group.
- Express Parcels Group
- For those who carry parcels and/or have warehouses, who have regular distribution runs or any combination of these. Members of this group have access to their own specialised RHA Conditions of Carriage.
- Transport, Warehousing and Distribution
- Hauliers who are regularly or frequently engaged in journeys of 100 miles or more are eligible for membership. The Group offers reciprocal facilities to members for refuelling, workshops, recovery, tyre changing, parking, spares and other services.
- Tanker Group
- (£60.00 + VAT per annum) Open to RHA members who are involved in the bulk carriage of liquids, powders and gases in road tankers or tank container vehicles.
- RHA Rescue & Recovery Group
- Open to all RHA members involved in vehicle rescue and recovery. The specialist nature of the vehicles and contracts that operate within this industry require dedicated focus on the issues that affect recovery operators. The Rescue and Recovery Group offer a vast range of beneficial services to its members, including:
- Waste Management Group
- Hauliers regularly engaged in the carriage of waste, whether it be wet or dry, toxic or non-toxic, are eligible for membership of this Specialist Group.
- Caravan Hauliers
- For those involved in the transport of caravans, holiday homes, park homes or boats. This Group has its own RHA Conditions of Carriage.
- International
- Open to hauliers who have been, or intend being, regularly engaged in the international carriage of goods by road and who hold an International 'O' Licence.
