The aims of the group are to promote the interests of members in sector-specific matters, to provide advice to members and to provide information.  The group works through the Secretary and its elected Committee, which meets three times per year.

The group maintains formal and informal communication with Government and its agencies and with other representative trade bodies, including the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC), Home Grown Cereal Authority (HGCA), Quarry Products Association (QPA), National Farmers Union (NFU) and others.

All group members are encouraged to provide input into issues arising from Government, including DfT, VOSA, DVLA, HSE and other bodies that would affect the work activities undertaken by that group.

Socially the highlight of the year is the increasingly popular Agricon conference which is organised in conjunction with the Livestock and Milk Groups. 

Membership of the group is subject to a fee of £10 + VAT.
